You’re needing something more than just talking about it.

My hope as a counselor is to create a safe space for clients to bring their deepest hurts and pain to light, ushering in hope, healing, and redemption. I am passionate about sitting well with my clients in their pain, understanding their unique stories, and using evidence-based therapy to turn suffering into growth.

My professional counseling career began at The Turning Point Rape Crisis center where I gained extensive training and a love for working with adult survivors of complex trauma/abuse, childhood sexual abuse, and sexual violence. This included addressing interpersonal relationship and attachment struggles, dissociation, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Prior to becoming a therapist, I served for 15 years in a variety of lay counseling, coaching, and discipleship roles in both the local Church, and secular organizations.

I earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology, with a minor in Christian Women’s Leadership from Samford University, and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) under the supervision of Heather Cawthon, Ph.D, LPC-S.  I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC), an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist, and an IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback Provider (ICP-P).

I am also trained in Christian integration and Biblical counseling for clients who would like to incorporate their faith into the counseling process. However, I respect the individual views of my clients and serve clients from all belief systems with evidence-based therapy.

I look forward to working with you in this chapter of your story.
